About
I Teach Tiny Humans, LLC is an educational technology organization dedicated to creating amazing learning experiences for your tiny humans. We focus on pre-kindergarten through the early grades.
We are lead by professional Educators and Techology experts who are dedicated to creating quality apps. Everything we do is reviewed by a team of professionals, tested in classroom settings and with the individual child.
Tiny Human Sentence Scramble is a fun way to teach your student or child how to read, recognize sight words and create sentences. It is perfect for a classroom setting or for use at home. Multiple levels with hundreds of sentences are included in the app. Additionally you can create your own levels and add your own sentences.
You child or student will have fun reading the words or phrases and constructing them in order to create sentences. The app will check their work and notify them of every phrase that is correct or misplaced. Every interaction is recorded by student and level. This can be reviewed by parents or educators to understand how the child is progressing and areas that need to be focused on for reinforcement or improvement.
Every list and sentences within the lists can be activated or inactivated to further allow you to focus your child or student's learning activities. This app is engaging and has been successfully used in classroom and home settings to improve reading skills and confidence in learning.
Tiny Human Counting
Children learn counting and number sense best through lots of practice and hands-on experiences. One-to-one correspondence is one of the first and most important concepts in math. Tiny Human Counting is perfect for children to work on these basic number skills.
Each of the three games uses multiple ways to practice 1:1 correspondence. Included are 10 frames, dice, objects, tally marks, numbers and fingers that represent the numbers 1-30. Children count the number of objects on each line and then select the appropriate corresponding pictures that represent a given number. They can also match a picture to pictures or match numbers together. When they get an answer right, there is a fun, reinforcing animation. When all corresponding objects are selected correctly, the students are rewarded by a sheep stampede!
Tiny Human Counting keeps track of different students once you add and then select their name. You can also select the appropriate numbers or number range to allow for differentiation. Select the results button to view individual statistics.
Happy Counting!
Class Credit
Class Credit is an organized and systematic classroom management system. It utilizes QR codes for a no contact reward system. Class Credit is completely customizable; allowing you to change icons, jobs, rewards, and point values for the different tasks. Individual QR codes are assigned to each student and capabilities to print those QR codes on credit card images are included in the app. Each job and reward also receives an individualized QR code, allowing for quick scanning of the students’ credit cards and then the job or reward for an adjustment in the students’ total point values. Additionally, students can receive point additions or deductions in correspondence with their behavior. A point history is kept for each student for your reference.
Furthermore, students can be placed into groups and point additions or deductions can be made to those groups. Class Credit also keeps track of class points. It also goes a step further to abide by FERPA guidelines by allowing you to hide student names and instead reveal student numbers when displaying the students’ individual points to the class. Class Credit was created for the purpose of simplifying teachers’ lives when it comes to organizing and keeping track of your management system.
We always welcome your feedback and strive to provide the best apps for teachers and students to support learning and growth.
Tiny Human Rounding
Tiny Human Rounding is designed to allow students to practice rounding numbers at many levels. This app includes five different levels of play. The five levels require students to:
Round to the nearest one using decimals
Round to the nearest ten
Round to the nearest hundred
Round to the nearest thousand
Round to the nearest whole number
Another dimension of play is students have the option of playing with or without a number line. This will give extra support for beginning learners or those who just need a little extra practice. Therefore, allowing for differentiation of learning styles.
Students enter their name and the app keeps track of the number of games played as well as any mistake made. One quick look at the results page will help you know exactly what to keep practicing.
Sight Word Intervention
Sight Word Intervention is a systematic method of teaching your student or child how to read sight words by using proven techniques with Incremental Rehearsal. This application is designed by Kindergarten and First Grade Educators at top elementary schools who have effectively used these techniques to teach many students as part of core curriculum. Now your student or child can leverage our experience to master sight words and build confidence and a strong base for reading.
This application allows you to complete comprehensive assessments of your students' abilities across six different sight word lists including Zeno, Dolch and Fry. You can also add your own lists and words. After completing assessments, you can focus interventions by selecting nine known words and one unknown word for the student. Through incremental rehearsal, known words are reinforced while words that are not yet known are mastered. These techniques have been proven to work in many classroom and home settings.
This application guides you through interventions by presenting words in the following order, where Z is the unknown word and A through I are known by the student:
Z
A, Z
A, B, Z
A, B, C, Z
A, B, C, D, Z
A, B, C, D, E, Z
A, B, C, D, E, F, Z
A, B, C, D, E, F, G, Z
A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, Z
A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, Z
For each interaction in assessments or interventions, the facilitator records whether the student knows the words or not. The application tracks each and every word, automatically recording proficiency when the student reaches 80% for the word or marking the word as unknown if proficiency drops below the 80% threshold.
Detailed reports show the following:
- Percentage known by word list and each word within the list
- Number of words learned by week
- Charting to show words learned by week compared to goal
- Email progress, detailed results and charts
The ability to add custom word lists and/or words is available. This creates endless opportunities for your students and allows you to create even more opportunities for students who are proficient in what is provided.
We hope this offering increases your students' abilities in reading sight words and learning to read. We gladly accept feedback and strive to provide the best products for you and those wanting to teach and learn.
Story Problems
Story Problems uniqueness comes from the ability to use fun animals as manipulatives to aide in solving simple story problems. Students can choose to solve addition or subtraction story problems. For an extra challenge, mixed story problems are included. Choosing this game mode will allow students to use higher level thinking skills to first determine whether the problem calls for them to add or subtract.
They can then use the manipulatives to help solve the story problem. To allow for differentiation, a range of numbers can be selected that will then be used within the story problems. Story Problems will read the problem to the student. This helps those younger students that may need a little extra support with this skill.
Students may enter their name into the game and the game keeps track of their results. Results are recorded by date, number correct and game type. This is a great way for parents and teachers to check for understanding and then reteach where necessary.
Story Problems targets children in Kindergarten to Second Grade. It uses the common core standards in Operations and Algebraic Thinking for each of these grades. K.OA.A.2, 1.OA.A.2, 2.OA.A.1
